Table below summarize Arwana Satu pipe lay barge capabilities of laying pipelines at various sizes and water depth. | Pipe Size (inch) | Arwana Satu Current Capabilities | | Outside Diameter | Wall Thickness | Concrete Coating Thickness | Maximum Water Depth | | 6 | 11.1 | 50 | 34 | | 12 | 11.1 | 50 | 40 | | 18 | 12.7 | 50 | 44 | | 24 | 14.3 | 50 | 34 | | 36 | 17.5 | 75 | 30 | * Based on current stinger length of 25 meters. Methodology – S-Lay Method (Conventional Way) By using conventional S-lay method, without any modification of the barge or its stinger, Arwana Satu is capable of laying various pipeline sizes with different possible water depths up to 50 meters. If the stinger is articulated, the possible water depths could be improved to maximum of 70 meters, depending on the pipeline size as presented in the table. Methodology - Shore Approach By utilizing Arwana Satu, with virtue of grounding capability (due to its reinforced hull), shore approach work could be done up to its maximum pipeline size i.e 52 inches of any length. However the water depth limitation as per table earlier is to be observed.
